this picture was taken in the huron river while standing on a bridge this was a mini waterfall that led into a small pool of water where turtles liked to hide when its warm they wait down there for fish to come so they can eat them the water is very clean and its being filtered as it flows it has very good water quality there is lots of life in this river it gets deeper and deeper the farther you go out into it there are plants on the side of the river which we call the wetlands its very marshy and muddy many skunk cabbage plants grow there the plants get there name becuase skunks eat the plant and the plant smells like a skunk also humans can eat skunk cabbage but you have to cook it three times and drain it three times becuase its a toxin in the marshes there can be catails the marsh is very wet and mudy if you stepped into the gloppy muck your foot would stick and be covered in mud in this river there is many fisherman that are fishing for huge trout that were stocked in the river by people they had them in a cage then they began to dump them off the bridge into the water
