In this picture it shows drew and kyle testing there foss plane. They have measured it to go about halfway.
When we tested the plane we used the top straw to hook fishing line onto it with the hooks we built. We attached a rubber band to the hooks. Then we winded the propeller about 20 times and it flew halfway. It took about thirty winds to get it all the way. I learned that the more windes makes the plane go farther. And gives it more kenetic energy to go faster. When we tested different rubber bands my prediction was right that the bigger rubber bands have a effect on how far the plane goes. For example with the big yellow rubberband, it flew so fast while the little rubber band took twice as much winds to get that far.
